Weekly Wind Down: Oh hi, Spring!
It has been a very long week. So much going on and honestly, still adjusting back into the normal routine on the home and work-front post marathon training. Very thankful for the Still I Run May Runstreak to get me committed to my daily movement to push me back into some sort of regular training or else I think I’d be floundering. The post race crash is real!
It’s Mental Health Month here in the US (thus the timing for the SIR Runstreak) and I’m trying to make it a commitment to not only move but also pause to stretch and/or recharge. Haven’t done it today yet, but definitely going to make it happen on Peloton.
For New Jersey followers, flagging that Fleet Feet Northern New Jersey has a Give Back Day planned for tomorrow, May 3rd, with 10% of all purchases going to Girls on the Run. Such a great cause so if you’re looking to stock up (maybe buy a new pair of kicks for your upcoming race?) fab time to do so.
What I’m Listening To
I love that Spotify is on top of the things I love and tells me when new things drop, like this great one from Ed Sheeran.
What I’m Reading
I just finished an advanced reader copy through NetGalley of Kathleen Barber’s Both Things Are True. Super cute and read I mostly devoured in one sitting last night. Coming out on 9/1 to add to your GoodReads watchlist or to pre-order here!
I am also listening to the audio version of The Comeback Summer by the fab duo of Ali Brady (pen name of writing BFFs Alison Hammer and Bradeigh Godfrey.) A fun read as the weather starts to warm up and I start to think more about warmer long run mornings!
Have a lovely weekend. Where are we running off to?
