Great to meet you!
Who am I? I’m Lara Ziobro, a full-time SVP comms/marketing and mom of two. But perhaps more of note for this page, I’m a fitness aficionado who decided during the peak pandemic to pick up running one day and never looked back. Five plus years later, I’m adding new goals to the list with no plan to slow down anytime soon.
I’m not a fast runner. I’m a very relatable runner. Party in the back team, represent! I’m on my journey to complete the Abbott World Marathon Majors. So far, I’ve received two stars in my six-star marathon journey and also completed 5 half marathons. I’m an ambassador for Still I Run — the nation’s first nonprofit dedicated to promoting the benefits of running for mental health.
I am a passionate disabilities advocate. I recently ran the 2025 Boston Marathon with Tedy’s Team, helping to raise $10K+ for the charity which supports stroke and heart awareness. I also ran both the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon and 2023 United NYC Half Marathon for the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network, raising $5K+.
I’ve run a blog by the name of Grits in the City for over 15 years. It’s more focused on food and lifestyle and I wanted a space to focus more on all things running — so here we are. I’ve got a lot of backlogged content I cannot wait to share with you.
Related, hit this lovely pink button below to make sure you get all the latest — since I have a lot that will be coming soon. Let’s go!
